Truth from the Tap’s safety infographic has been updated with the latest federal safety data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, which is now available through 2022.

The data shows a 38.1% lower rate of injuries and illness for private water utility workers compared to municipal workers between 2013 and 2022. The previous version of the infographic included data through 2021 and showed a 34.6% lower rate of injuries and illness.

Safer workplaces are one of the many benefits that comes from working with a regulated, private water company. Just like with water quality, NAWC member company employees can focus on one thing – providing the best water service possible – and not all the other things that fall on public works departments.
